Dürkopp Fördertechnik provides complete intralogistic solutions for the fashion, e-commerce and automotive sectors. With its systems for transporting and sorting both flat and hanging goods the company is the market leader in Europe for the fashion industry.
Dürkopp Fördertechnik came into being in the 1950s as a division of the Dürkoppwerke that was founded in 1867. The conveyor technology for hanging goods was initially developed for linking workstations in the clothing industry. Although it was also needed for the assembly of the (Diana) scooter produced by Dürkopp.
It was not long before the first distribution centres in the clothing branch were equipped with conveyor technology, for which Dürkopp supplied both conveyors for hanging goods as well as roller and belt conveyors for cartons and containers.
Innovative solutions and a change from mechanical conveyors to electronically controlled sorting systems gained Dürkopp an extensive base of customers from all over Europe and led to its becoming the market leader for automated hanging goods distribution centres.
Since 2010 Dürkopp has been a 100% subsidiary of KNAPP AG. Dürkopp employs more than 200 people at its headquarters in Bielefeld..
