EcoTrolley - The Manual Conveyor System for Clothing Industry

The EcoTrolley is DFT's manual conveyor system and is the perfect solution for the manual transportation and storage of hanging garments. The garments can be moved directly on hangers or via the trolleys on the sliding tubes. The specially designed switches and crossings enable individual routing and optimum use of available space. Depending on the specific circumstances and structural conditions, the manual conveyor system can either be attached to a special suspension system under the hall ceiling or carried by floor stands. Thanks to the lightweight and stable material of the trolleys, the conveyors can be removed from the system very easily and quickly, stored separately or hung inside each other for quick transportation of the empty carriers.

Which processes can the manual conveyor system support?

✔️ Incoming Goods

Thanks to the truck loading rail, the trolleys can be driven right into the truck and thus transport large quantities of items at the same time. Incoming goods can therefore be processed much faster and more efficiently.

✔️ Transport of Goods

Large quantities of items can be transported within the warehouse and distribution area. This greatly reduces the number of manual handling operations and walking distances. In addition, the clear routing of the system creates a perfectly organized warehouse structure and free floor space.

✔️ Storage

The trolley system is ideal for manual storage. Items can be stored directly on the rails or trolleys and can be retrieved quickly if required.

✔️ Item Tracking & Tracing

The optional use of RFID trackers or barcodes means that individual items and trolleys can be located at any time.

By using brake and drag chains, different levels can be connected to each other. Bridging several storage levels is therefore no longer a problem.

The EcoTrolley - Stability and easy Handling

Thanks to their low weight and a length of 450 mm, the trolleys are particularly easy to handle. They can be hung with garments on hangers and pushed or pulled through the system. A single trolley can carry goods weighing up to 20 kilograms. The special feature of this conveyor system is that the individual carriers can be coupled together using integrated couplings and conveyed as a unit. The option of integrating RFID chips or barcodes on the carriers means that garments can be tracked throughout the entire system, allowing all goods flows to be consistently monitored and optimized.

Level Bridging - optimized use of Space in Intralogistics

The EcoTrolley System enables height differences to be overcome with the use of the brake and drag chain. The manual conveyor system can manage inclines of up to 28 degrees. Depending on the desired degree of automation, the drag and brake chain can be controlled manually or automatically and can be operated in two directions. This enables maximum flexibility in routing and efficient use of the available space.

The system can be supplemented with a truck loading rail to quickly and easily pick up items into the EcoTrolley System during incoming or outgoing goods. By simply hooking the loading rail into the truck, the trolleys or hangers can be pushed into the truck or guided into the system. For a simultaneous loading and unloading process, two rails can easily be hooked into the truck. All loading and unloading processes can now be made more efficient and manual walking distances are drastically reduced.

Maintenance-free and flexible Components

The manual onveyor system can be equipped with various components such as switches, crossings or bridges. The special design of the crossing enables two tracks to be crossed quickly and at the same height. Crossing other transverse tracks is made possible by simply moving the points by hand. The switches can also be controlled manually and are maintenance free, just like the crossings.

Trolleys

The trolleys can be used to transport large quantities of items quickly and easily. The trolleys can be pushed or pulled and linked together.

Runways and rails

The rail of the system consists of a galvanized 3/4” tube with an abrasion-resistant profile. Due to the material used, the system is extremely stable and durable.

Suspensions

Depending on the requirements and structural conditions, you can choose between different suspension options.

Switches

Switches can be integrated into the system for maximum flexibility in routing. These are switched manually and are maintenance-free.

Crossings

Crossings can be installed to cross individual pipe sections without interrupting the journey. There are a wide range of variants to enable the desired routing.

Locks

To stop the trolleys in the system, for example to collect them, or to load or unload them efficiently, hanger locks can be integrated into the system. There is also the option of installing pneumatic barriers for downhill sections.

Truck loading rail

For loading and unloading trucks, the rail can simply be hooked into the vehicles. Trolleys or clothes hangers can then be slid over the rail, significantly increasing the efficiency and speed of incoming and outgoing goods.
