In the practice-integrated degree program, you will be employed by DFT for the entire duration of your studies. This provides an optimal combination of academic work and professional practice. The aim is to apply what you have learned in theory in practice and the other way round. At the same time, you will get to know the practical work at DFT. Have you opted for a dual study program? We will pay the semester fees for you so that you can focus on your studies and work.
You will gain professional experience and can start your career immediately after graduation. Our aim is to offer you a job after successfully completing the dual study program.

No expenses for student fees - because we pay them for you!
Studying full-time won't earn you any money. You look for a part-time job that may have nothing to do with your studies. An apprenticeship or dual study program is different; you receive a regular income right from the start.
The dual study program eliminates the search for a company where you can write your Bachelor's thesis and the associated writing of applications.

Your dual study program
In cooperation with the university, we combine practice and theory, giving you extensive knowledge in the fields of mechanical engineering, electrical engineering and IT.
Every 12 weeks, you will consolidate the content of your studies in a practical way in our development department. Your tasks will include the development, design and programming of machines and systems, as well as their maintenance and optimization.
In addition, you will learn the basic practical skills in the training workshop at our site. You will be able to contribute your knowledge to various projects and will be supported by an experienced team.

Your dual study program
With the combination of practice and theory, you will gain professional experience alongside your studies and be ideally prepared for your future job.
From the data source to analysis using artificial intelligence methods, you will design and install data-driven processes and integrate them into common workflows. You will also learn all about the interpretation of large amounts of data.
Exciting projects are waiting for you so that you can put your newly acquired knowledge to the test during your studies. From the analysis of interference sources to energy consumption and optimization problems, everything is included.

Your dual study program
In cooperation with the Bielefeld University of Applied Sciences, you will learn various programming languages, data structures and project management in conjunction with business administration. Every 12 weeks, you will consolidate the content of your studies in a practical way in our Warehouse Control System department.
To fully round off your knowledge, you will work on software engineering projects right from the start and thus combine your theoretical knowledge with practical experience. You will learn from and with your team colleagues in a hands-on way and handle the software on site at our customers’ premises.

On Girls’ Day, we regularly show interested girls who we are and what career opportunities we offer! Up to 15 girls regularly have the opportunity to experience an exciting day at DFT.
DFT is actively committed to promoting young talent and is happy about the girls’ interest in intralogistics. The feedback from the participants shows that Girls’ Day was a complete success. We are pleased that we were able to open up a path to technical interest through the open insights and hands-on activities. Perhaps a day like this will enable some of the participants to find their way into our industry in the future.
