We recently had the pleasure of welcoming Mr. Tom Brüntrup, Member of the State Parliament for our constituency, and his colleague Ms. Kollmeier to DFT in Bielefeld. The reason for the visit was the general interest in our company and its role as a hidden champion in the intralogistics sector from the Bielefeld area.
Mr. Brüntrup and Ms. Kollmeier were extremely interested in the issues that concern us as a company and where politics can provide support. Our points are communicated to the right people in order to find possible solutions for the future.
Our visitors were very impressed by the history and technological developments at DFT, which they were able to see in the museum. Mr. Brüntrup and Ms. Kollmeier were excited by the final tour of our development and production departments. They noticed that our #TeamDFT is always open and friendly and that the employees are happy to show and explain their work to our visitors.
A look behind the scenes at DFT also means understanding the process of the flow of goods in intralogistics, for example for large and globally renowned clothing brands. Our visitor learned about the processes that take place in the background in intralogistics when someone orders clothing from the online store until it arrives at home. A process that we usually don’t think about when placing an order. The fact that this know-how from Bielefeld goes all over the world and that DFT systems are installed at very well-known and large fashion and shoe brands is also of great importance for the region, because every hidden champion ensures that OWL is so unique.
